Help to pay taxes
- Small businesses or self-employed people who are struggling to pay their corporation tax, income tax, PAYE, or VAT can call HMRC’s ‘Time to Pay’ helpline for help and advice, with options to defer or delay payment: 0800 0159 559
- Also, businesses who have already deferred their VAT bills will be given more breathing space through a New Payment Scheme. This will give them the option to pay back in smaller instalments. Rather than paying a lump sum in full at the end of March 2021, they will be able to make 11 smaller interest-free payments during the 2021-22 financial year.
